Her passion for flowers is obvious in the way she paints delicate florals. She considers watercolor to be the perfect medium for expressing her love affair with flowers. The subject for her oils tend to be still-lifes and especially beautiful landscapes which are so abundant throughout New Mexico. Laurice is not committed to any one medium for specific subjects and can surprise us at any time. Laurice grew up in the Hill Country of central Texas. She has been active in art venues throughout the United States and has participated in numerous juried group and one-woman shows and has received many awards for both her oils and watercolors. Her training includes the Famous Artists School, El Paso Art Academy and McNay Art Institute. She considers herself very fortunate to have studied with Lajos Markos, William Henry Earle, Andre Szabo and Ray Vinella. Laurice now resides in Ruidoso, New Mexico. She sees so much beauty here in the Land of Enchantment that she will be inspired to paint for many years to come. Laurice is represented in Ruidoso exclusively by Studio W. laurice-e-bremer@zianet.com |
